Mother / Son Night
An Evening of skating and games. Sons can bring their mom or other special female guest to mingle and have fun.
Skate/Blade rentals included in event cost.
Pizza, snacks, and drinks provided.

The boys at school look forward to this event every year! They get to bring their mother or special person along to a night just for them. Hosted at CalSkate, the boys will skate and play games. A pizza dinner and dessert will be included in your entrance fee. Be prepared for an evening to remember with a special date.
How do I get tickets to this event? Your child will bring home a flyer for you to fill out and return. You can send in cash, check or use PayPal to pay. Lost your flyer? No problem, we have extras in the office or a printable verson on our Facebook page.
Who can attend? Any enrolled student at DES can attend with their Mother or special person. Siblings who are not enrolled are not able to attend.
What if I have more than one child? Not a problem, you’ll have the chance to spend time with all your kids!
What happens on the night? You’ll check in and get your skates and then you’re free to enjoy CalSkate! Dinner will be served (pizza and salad) as well as drinks and dessert. There’ll be some games and music will be pumping. It’s a crazy fun night.
What if my child or I would prefer not to skate? Not a problem. There’s still a chance to hang out and play with friends for the evening. Many of the boys take advantage of the arcade games as well but it’s not essential.
What if my child or I do not like pizza or salad? Unfortunately we’re not able to provide for all meal requirements however the snackbar is generally open for alternative food and drink options.
If the person registered is not available to attend at the last minute, what do I do? It is important for you to reach out to the DES PTS at the earliest and let us know who will be attending with your child. Alternatively email the office for them to pass on the message.
Can I buy tickets on the night? Absolutely! There is a reduced price for those who pre-register however you can purchase tickets on the night at check in.
Can I send my child on their own? Unfortunately not, unless you arrange with another mother or special person to be their chaperone.
Are there scholarships available? Absolutely! If you, or someone you know, is not able to afford to attend the event please reach out. Our PTS provides scholarships to many families each year and it is absolutely our pleasure to do so. We believe every child and parent should be included in every event.
Do we have to dress up? You do not. Some people love to take advantage of the superman theme however you can wear whatever you’re comfortable in.
Is this a fundraising event? This is not a fundraising event. Our cookie dough fundraiser helps pay for this event as well as the ticket price. We aim to not make money on this event and the ticket price is to cover the costs only. If we do make any profit it rolls over into other events, programs or activities.
