Grandparents Day
For over 40 years, Durham Elementary School has celebrated Grandparents Day and we know why. Each child is encouraged to invite any grandparents or special people to their school to show off their year's achievements. Grandparents will enjoy breakfast, visit classrooms and participate in activities with students as well as view incredible performances. Your kids will be delighted and grandparents enamoured.
Father-Daughter Date Night
Easily our cutest event of the year, you won't believe how much the girls love this night. Daughters will attend a wonderful dance with their father or special person to enjoy an evening of dinner and dancing. Let's not forget the crafts too! They'll dress up in something special and come boogie the night away with our fabulous DJ. Make sure to get plenty of pictures, those first and last dance pics are invaluable!
Christmas Boutique
This DES event has been a well loved tradition for many, many years! Each and every student will have an opportunity to purchase a Christmas gift for all the special people in their lives. Our community donates new (or like new) items for your child to consider and special volunteers will be there to help them choose just the right thing. Gifts will be wrapped in class and brought home before Christmas to go under your tree.
